Rentgrata partners with Stripe to provide secure reward payments to residents.
Follow these quick steps to set up your account and transfer your rewards.
STEP 1: Check your email
When your reward is ready, you’ll receive an email from Rentgrata inviting you to claim your reward. Click the link in the email to go directly to your Rentgrata Rewards page.
STEP 2: Set up your Stripe account
You’ll be prompted to set up your Stripe account before you can transfer funds:
Click Set Up Account under your reward balance. Enter your email and phone number (you’ll receive a verification code). Verify your phone number using the code. Provide your date of birth, address, and last four digits of your SSN. (If you don’t have a SSN, you can use an ITIN instead.) In the Industry field, select Other Business Services. In the Website URL field, enter your social media profile or rentgrata.com.
STEP 3: Connect your bank account
You’ll then connect your bank to receive payouts:
Choose your bank from the list or enter details manually. Log in securely with your bank credentials. Select the account where you want your rewards deposited. (Optional) Save your account for faster future transfers using Link by Stripe.
STEP 4: Confirm and submit
Confirm your payout account and personal info. Enter your Business Name (your own name). Enter a Statement Descriptor (e.g. Jane_Rentgrata). Review and click Submit to complete setup. Once setup is complete, you’ll return to your Rentgrata Rewards page.
STEP 5: Transfer funds
When your rewards are available:
Go to the Rewards section. Click Transfer to Bank. Choose your preferred speed: 1–3 Business Days (no fee) Instant (1.75% fee, max $25) Click Transfer — and your funds will soon arrive in your bank account!
FAQs
What if I don’t have a Social Security Number?
You can use an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) instead. Stripe may reach out for additional verification if needed.
When will I receive a 1099 form?
If you earn $600 or more in a tax year, Stripe will issue a 1099-MISC on Rentgrata’s behalf during tax season.
